Creative ways to get kids to thrive in school. (TED TALK 01)

Today, I listened to Olympia Della Flora's TED TALK talks. She mentioned a student who had called D. He was a young boy of six.

This guy, D, was well-known at his school for being quite mischievous and having a short fuse. This D-named child engaged in several peculiar actions and activities. He exhibited activities such as tipping tables and chairs over, yelling aloud, and scaling window ledges. D rose to fame among the students at the school as a result of his actions. He was told by the teachers and the principal to halt this behavior, but he disregarded their advice.

Nobody in the school was able to assist D. This was initially discussed by the principle with her staff. Finally, they made the choice to first discuss D with D's parents. Later, Olympia learned that D has a younger sibling and that both of his parents are employed.

D should also look after his younger brother alone when he returns home from school. D was now a 6-year-old boy at this point. These details allowed Olympia to comprehend D's impetuous actions. The principal first considered modifying D for the educational setting. They planned numerous events in support of it. D eventually developed into an extremely obedient youngster.

In my view, you should be able to handle impulsive kids without kicking them.
